Melissa is passionate about helping others navigate life's challenges and seeking to grow in their relationships. She enjoys working with couples and providing support for the whole family.  Her approach to counseling is through a restorative and holistic lens that offers integrative care for the whole person. With a desire to strengthen individuals, couples, families, children, and teens, Melissa engages collaboratively with her clients to seek to understand their stories and offer care and support. She provides assertive communication, guidance, direction, and a clear path to work through previous relational trauma and how it may be affecting their current relationships. Not only will she help with practical tools for improving their relationship, but also help with processing feelings and stuck points, navigating interpersonal conflicts and relationship dynamics. Melissa has experience working with infidelity and repairing relationships, navigating divorce, improving communication and intimacy, and is a trauma-informed therapist. She is Prepare & Enrich certified (premarital and marital assessment tool), a certified Enneagram Life Coach, and EMDR trained (a structured-based approach to processing trauma). She has completed additional training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Level 1, 2 and 3 for couples, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Melissa graduated from Denver Seminary with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.
